ABOUT David Hendin

David Hendin is well known as America’s leading authority in ancient Jewish and Biblical Coins and is author of the numismatic bestseller Guide to Biblical Coins (now it its fourth edition), Ancient Scale Weights, Not Kosher, Collecting Coins, and 10 other nonfiction books. Hendin is a life fellow of the ANS and also a member of the Sage Society as well as a life member of the ANA, and three-time instructor at the ANA Summer Seminar. Hendin has more than 40 years experience with ancient coins, a hobby he inherited from his late father, a St. Louis physician and widely known collector. Hendin has also written many numismatic articles for scholarly journals and has been the monthly Biblical Coins columnist for The Celator magazine for some 20 years. Hendin has been listed in Who’s Who in America since 1974.
