Aegina. Obol
Aegina. c. 350-338 BC. Obol, 0.92g. (1h). Obv: Land tortoise; A - I across field. Rx: Skew pattern incuse with five segments; N - I in two segments. Milbank pl. III, 9 (same dies). The obols of Aegina, especially the land turtles, come rather worn. This coin is perfectly centered and extremely sharp. Beautiful dark toning. Virtually Mint State.
