Attica, Athens. Tetradrachm
Attica, Athens. c. 445-440 BC. Tetradrachm, 17.15g. (5h). Obv: Helmeted head of Athena right. Rx: Owl standing right, head facing, olive leaves and crescent behind, AČE downwards before. The obverse of this coin is unusually artistic, very close to Starr Group V. Doubtless it is one of the earliest coins of the main issue following the Starr groups. Struck in high relief with full luster. Mint State/Good EF.
