Attica, Athens. c. 264-7 AD. AE 20-22, 6.46gg. (3h). Obv: Helmeted bust of Athena left holding spear and shield, the shield ornamented with facing Medusa head. Rx: AHN - A - [IN] Athena advancing right, looking back, extending right arm behind her and holding shield and spear with left. Kroll 312. Bronze coins of Athens are far rarer than the tetradrachms, especially in such fine quality. EF.
